Based on a real-life experience presented as a diptych as seen through our Alaska bound truck window frame –

We had just made it into Alaska after a long drive up the AlCan Highway, busting at our seams held together by duct tape. Before our eyes, we noticed, what seemed to appear as our Old Glory Flag welcoming us safely home – and then we realized, it was the 4th of July,  just after midnight.
